Project Idea

This was the first project dedicated to the theme of astronomy space sciences. We developed connections with the Bulgarian Institute of Astronomy and NAO-Rozhen in the developing of new youth endeavors. The idea was to give a chance to the members of the association and to all young people who have interests in the field of astronomy and space science to take their first real look of the sky. We developed a whole program of activities and initiated site visits of the Rozhen observatory accompanied by professional astronomers. The goals were clear – to teach the young participants of the importance of astronomy as a science. This was only the beginning of our space exploration efforts. We have decided to pursue our vision and to invest our efforts so that we can achieve the expected results at the end. The endeavor was financed by our organization and all the work invested was a voluntary effort. The project started in March of 2008 and continued for a period of about six months. Overall we had 15 participants who took part in the project. Then we made a review of the program and we decided not to make changes in the activities.
