Dmitriy Tseliakhovich M.Sc., Caltech, USA

Dmitriy Tseliakhovich is a graduate student at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) finishing his Ph.D. in astrophysics. He is also a co-founder of Escape Dynamics – an aerospace startup company focused on research and development of new means for space launch and space propulsion. Dmitriy’s astrophysics research is focused on formation of the first galaxies and stars, physics of shocks in supernovae remnants, particle physics in the early universe and the theory of inflation. Mr. Tseliakhovich is also actively working on the theory behind novel propulsion concepts such as external propulsion with microwaves and matter-antimatter annihilation engines. His interests cover all areas of space exploration including general relativity, search for dark matter and dark energy, search for life in the Universe, space medicine and artificial gravity. Dmitriy is convinced that in 15-20 years we will have a permanent, self-sustainable and first of all profitable presence in space and in his presentation he will describe some of his ideas on how this will happen.
