Aim of this 7 day training course is to develop attitudes and skills of youth groups' leaders and peer leaders for improving European citizenship education in peer-to- peer youth work . The innovative feature will be to approach European citizenship issue in Russia as hosting country and active citizenship education using experiential learning methodology. This training course is prepared for the learning group of 20 people from 10 different countries of EU and EECA region sharing these common criteria: - youth leaders/peer leaders directly contacting with their groups of young people in their own communities, motivated to improve their skills in citizenship education through experiential learning, ready to learn from their own experience and act as multipiers after it.
The innovative feature will be to approach and explore European citizenship issue and active citizenship education within the context of EU neighborhood policy and Road map on four spaces in Russia using experiential learning methodology.
For achieving this aim the programme of the training course is based on the following educational objectives:
The project was focused on aspects of the non-formal and informal education. Its aim was to create and establish contacts with potential partners about future collaboration and common projects in forms of youth exchanges, EVS, etc. The main idea was the active citizenship and the way young people can be included in the decision-making processes in their countries.
The cooperation between the organizations from the represented regions ( Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Slovenia, Moldova, Germany and Hungary) was successful and positive and a lot of new ideas arose. During the activities the participants met local authorities responsible for youth matters in the region as well as local theatre organizations in order to become acquainted with the traditions and nature of the area.
The method that was used during the project was the so called Galli Method - an extensive method of personal development through the realization of transformation processes. The Galli Method makes the ease and liveliness of spontaneous play the basis of conflict resolution and personal growth. Other features are the awakening of hidden talents, bringing success and clarity of vision, extending flexibility and role-changing capabilities.
